How to use the Edging Knowledge Base
What is this app?
A central reference for all our edging tapes — which suppliers stock them, what boards and door ranges they match, and how much they cost per metre. Use it to quickly find the right tape for any job, whether you're edging boards in the factory or selling tape to customers to match a door range.
Getting started
- Add your suppliers first (SMC, Folmag, Ney, Ostermann, etc.)
- Set up price groups for common pricing tiers
- Add boards & doors — Egger/Krono boards and OS Doors/Ba Doors ranges
- Add tapes and match them to the boards & doors they fit
Key features
Two-way matching — link tapes to boards/doors from either side
Match quality — rate each match as Great OK or Bad
Price per metre — auto-calculated from roll price & length so you can compare costs
Price history — tracks price changes over time on both price groups and custom prices
Photos — upload tape photos from your phone for quick visual reference
Cancelled tapes — soft-delete discontinued tapes without losing the data
Tips
Use the search bar on any list page to quickly find what you need
Filter tapes by supplier or category to narrow things down
Click any board/door to see all matching tapes with their per-metre cost
